Hence education for women shold be given top priority and measures should be taken, improve their their ststus in India. Therefore, the basic problem of the present study can be ststed as an enquiry into the social and educational ststus of the under- graduate Muslim female students, and their attitude towards mate selection, dowery, inter-caste marriage , population control, female inheritance and their family background so on.
