National Education Policy 2020 is such an education policy with Indian constitutional values and fundamental responsibilities, which emphasizes on connecting with the country and creating awareness of the role and responsibilities of the citizen in the changing world. The vision of this policy is to inculcate in students the pride of being Indian not only in thought but also in behaviour, intelligence and actions as well as in knowledge, skills, values and thinking committed to human rights, sustainable development and livelihood and global welfare, so that they can truly become global citizens. The policy lays special emphasis on the development of the creative potential inherent in each individual and aims to meet the essential requirements for the development of our country. In this policy, emphasis has been laid on promoting the use of technology for technical education, removing language barriers, making education accessible to students with disabilities, etc. Investment in early childhood care and education in the National Education Policy 2020 and ensuring its access to all children of the country, inclusion of flexible, multidimensional, play, activity and discovery-based education in early childhood care and education, to develop an excellent curriculum and pedagogic framework for early childhood education, to implement the ECCE system through comprehensive and empowered (ECCE) institutions, midday meal program and monitoring of health development and ensuring availability of check-up etc. are some of the major provisions related to early childhood care and education which make it a unique and important education policy in itself.
