“Inclusion is felt rather than seen and nurtured to achieve Equity”

Diversity and Cultures around the world is the natural beauty. Nature blossoms in innumerable, exciting colours in the form of colour, cultures, gender, special abilities etc. Inclusion is an umbrella term that include the fragrance of conducive and inclusive environment. Inclusion is the creation of an environment where everyone shares a sense of belonging, is treated with respect, and is able to fully participate. When inclusion is nurtured, to give a sense of belonging, it promotes equity. Inclusion is brining change in system, modification in infrastructure, change in policies and making them as per needs of each individual. 

Social Welfare Division of ICERT is carrying out a wide range of activities for the benefit of underprivileged people and the society at large. Some activities are carried out directly by the division whereas many organizations join our hands in achieving equity through inclusion as per the targets under SDG 17. The major work focus on eliminating discrimination against women and girls, gender equality and empowerment of girls as per the targets under SDG 4 and SDG 5. Children, women, people with disabilities and disadvantaged group faces lot of issues in their rights, social and economic inclusion, social injustice, health and education. We are organizing various programs and conducting activities reduce social and financial inequalities, equal opportunities, and dealing with discrimination, targets under SDG 10.
